Gateway Australia Windows XP Recovery CDs

Gateway Notebook computers are often supplied with special Gateway Notebook Recovery CDs (also known as Gateway Windows XP recovery CDs or Gateway hard drive data restore CDs). The Gateway Notebook Recovery CDs are specifically designed for your Gateway Notebook computer, usually contain an image of what was on the Notebook hard drive when it was first bought, & they allow you to return the machine to its original state (as new). This is particularly useful if the Notebook has been attacked by a virus, if the original hard drive has developed a fault, or if you simply wish to replace or upgrade the hard drive, & need to re-install your original software.

The Gateway Notebook Windows XP recovery CDs are also sometimes referred to as Gateway Notebook Windows XP installation CDs because they completely erase the contents of your hard drive & then re-install your operating system (Windows XP). However, Gateway Notebook Recovery CDs differ from normal Windows XP installation disks in that they also restore the Notebook drivers which were originally installed on the hard drive when the Notebook was first purchased (any additional programs or files which were not originally installed will be overwritten).

Microsoft have now withdrawn permission for the supply of the Windows element of Windows Recovery CDs. However recognising that Genner Sales originally developed and were world leaders in the Windows Recovery CD market, Microsoft have asked us to continue to support people who need to Re-install Windows. Microsoft therefore asked us to supply the correct drivers etc for specific computers, with full technical support.
